Sketching, or drawing what you see when you see it, is key to progress. Whenever I am in a waiting room, listening to a speaker, or even watching TV, I feel the urge to capture some of what I see in my notebook. Some of the pictures on this page also come from “life drawing” where models are willing to sit while a group of people are drawing or painting them.
The nice thing about sketching is that you do not have time to finish or refine a picture; it is what you see at the moment you see it, brought down to the minimum required to make it into something recognisable.
The pictures hereunder are mostly pencil, but also fine-liner pens, watercolours, charcoal, etc. They represent paid models, friends, celebrities, someone in the train, sceneries and more.
