Sometimes a movement or causes impacts me more than usual and I decided to make a related painting. The paintings hereunder are all dedicated to a charity and sale will benefit that charity.
The sales price is suggested, all profit is donated accordingly to the charity or cause mentioned, once my costs have been deducted (I estimate my personal cost of the creation of the paintings hereunder at £50.00 each). Any additional monies paid will be donated accordingly.

The organised International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is a humanitarian movement with approximately 16 million volunteers, members, and staff worldwide. It was founded to protect human life and health, to ensure respect for all human beings, and to prevent and alleviate human suffering. It is, without doubt, the leading purveyor of support in times of crisis, war and natural disasters.
The Little Refugee is based on a Red Cross photograph of a few years ago showing the victim of a bombing sitting in an ambulance. The painting is Oil on Canvas and measures 94.5/64 cm (framed).

Dementia is an illness that stops a person’s brain cells (neurones) from working properly, affecting their ability to remember, think and speak. Doctors typically use the word ‘‘dementia’’ to describe common symptoms – such as memory loss, confusion, and problems with speech and understanding – that get worse over time. Dementia UK is a specialist dementia nursing charity that is here for the whole family: nurses (known as Admiral Nurses) provide free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.
Dementia is an oil on canvas-board painting of my mother, as I perceived to be losing her battle with Alzheimer’s. It represents her falling apart, first living in her memories of long-lost childhood and holidays, finally living only in a home-made vacuum. It is 25.5/35.5 cm.

I was inspired by the courage demonstrated by the Ukrainian people to paint Phoenix showing the hope and new life being born out of the destruction.

Terrence Higgins was the first man in the UK to be reported as dying of an HIV/AIDS related disease. It is in his memory that the Terrence Higgins Trust was created to work at the forefront of the fight against HIV and improve the nation’s sexual health. They aim to stop any new cases of AIDS from the year 2030 and ensure that everyone can access good quality sexual and reproductive health services and information tailored to their individual needs.
Matthew Sheppard was a young gay man who, because of his sexuality, was bullied, beaten, tortured and left to die tied to a fence near the town of Laramie (Wyoming, USA).
